"Romanticizing the past" is a familiar accusation, made mostly by people who think it is more grown-up to romanticize the future."

You (somehow) found my site
The internet looks a lot different now, than it did when I was growing up. I cut my teeth crafting sites out of HTML in text editors, something best viewed on a desktop computer (like this one). But I always dreamt of making a website that was more flashy, more colourful, more complex.
When I first made this page, I wanted to make an epic looking portfolio, way cooler than it had any business being. The background was a wicked rolling drone shot of some sea ice that I captured. I was thinking about flashy, and colourful, and complex. Just like everything on the internet nowadays.
The internet wasn't always this way. I don't think we can ever go back, but I could definetly benefit from going back to the basics -- to the understanding that something basic is more than enough.
Thanks for stopping by. This is a living page and it will update from time to time, feel free to check back someday.
